Your questions answered

Q: How much does it cost?

A: We have produced videos ranging in cost from between £1000 and £16,000.

As the individual needs and objectives of every client differ greatly, it is nigh on impossible to state ‘how much’. But the GREAT NEWS is…..we offer you a no obligation estimate, based on an initial brief, or a chat to understand your needs. As the scope of your project reveals itself, we can move the estimate to a quotation for work, and the quote will be broken down into component parts, so you can understand the budgetary needs of each area of production. We offer total transparency.

Q: How long ‘till I get my finished video?

A: Again, a difficult question to answer, as it depends greatly on the complexity of the project in the various stages of production. However, we aim to turnaround every project as quickly as we can and we’re very understanding when it comes to tight deadlines.

At the start of the project, we will discuss a timeframe with you and agree milestones. There will be an onus on you too, to feedback opinions on various edits, so we can hone your production to perfection. Our client area makes this a whole lot quicker than sending you a DVD; you can now watch your video online, over and over again if you wish. This unique feature of our client care, helps move us all faster to completion.

Q: How much input do you need from me?

A: What we really need is good quality information to help us understand the objectives of the video, the nature of the subject etc etc. Often that comes about through an iterative process. The videos we’re most proud of are those where the client engages throughout the process, actively throwing in ideas and information to bring us up to speed with the nature of their business or organization.

We can produce at arms length, but information is the key to success! We’ll also need you to approve certain stage of the production, particularly during the edit. This can be done remotely using our client area on this website.

Q: Who owns the video when it’s finished?

A: Essentially, YOU do! You’ve paid for it, so why should any company try and hold you over a barrel with copyright?

Once the final invoice is settled, all our rights in the production are assigned to you. We will have also licensed any third party material we source (such as music or stills) to suit your requirements, it remains your responsibility though, to ensure that any material you supply to us ie. photographs or archive materials, are either owned by you, or suitable licenses and permissions have been granted (we can advise you on this if you wish).

Your questions answered

Q: Why should we commission Silverspoon Films to produce our video?

A: We care. We want to get to know you and your business or organization, so we can help you achieve your objectives using the powerful medium of video. We’re not an oversized production machine run by accountants, we’re fair and honest in the way we deal with people.
